Gene joined VAZATA’s board of directors in February 2013. He has worked independently as a private investor and consultant since February 1993. From August 1990 to January 1993, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MCI Communications Corporation (now Verizon Business). Since January 2005, he has served on the board of directors of COLT Telecom Group SA, Luxembourg, a provider of telecommunications and data center services to businesses throughout Europe. In June 2010, he became a member of the board of NetCracker Technology Corporation, Waltham, Massachusetts, a leading provider of OSS/BSS systems and services to telecommunication carriers throughout the world. Mr. Gabbard also serves on the board of directors of Tower Cloud, Inc., St. Petersburg, Florida, a provider of 3G/4G fiber based backhaul for wireless carriers throughout the Southeast.
