VAZATA Wins Data Center Hosting, Sales and Services Contract from The Interlocal Purchasing System

McKinney, TX, USA – August 4, 2017 – VAZATA a leader in managed hosting, colocation, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud managed services, announced today it has been awarded a Data Center Hosting, Sales and Services contract by The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS), a Texas purchasing coop that makes it easier for municipal government, K-12, and higher education institutions to buy hardware, software, and more. The contract awarded to VAZATA also covers colocation services and cloud solutions.

TIPS offers its membership access to competitively procured purchasing contracts. VAZATA was vetted by the team at TIPS, based on published scoring criteria that weighs product pricing, company strength, references, and other factors to provide TIPS members with solutions that are competitive in the market.

“VAZATA is uniquely positioned to help TIPS members procure high-performance data center hosting and related Cloud services,” said Jim Mangus, Director of Federal Programs of VAZATA. “We deliver strategic IT capabilities including data center colocation, managed hosting, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and “remote hands” services. Our FedRAMP authorization for IaaS lets us deliver a unique level of security, resilience, and compliance across all our government hosting solutions.”

Purchasing is a necessary activity for any business or organization. The Interlocal Purchasing System procurement process reduces purchasing-related stress for over 4,500 members, including government and education entities. TIPS is housed at and managed by the Region 8 Education Service Center located in Pittsburg, Texas. TIPS’ state-of-the-art purchasing procedures comply with purchasing laws and ethical business practices. Competitively priced solicitations and bulk purchasing yields economic benefits unobtainable by individual entities.

“As a TIPS vendor we can offer school districts and other governmental entities greater efficiency and economy in adopting secure colocation and data center hosting,” Mangus said. “TIPS levels the playing field for entities that are not always able on their own to command the level of purchasing power of a large organization.”

Since all purchasing requirements are completed during the TIPS RFP process, VAZATA can expedite orders from TIPS members, streamlining the time and expense usually associated with competitive bidding.
