VAZATA Continues Focusing on Customer Needs for a Highly Secure Data Center Environment

VAZATA Meets Security Compliance Requirements, Surpassing Minimum Standards for the Past 9 Years (04/01/2018)

McKinney, Texas, USA – April 1, 2018 – VAZATA, a leader in Managed Cloud Hosting, Colocation, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Business Continuity Disaster Recovery, and Managed Services, announces successful completion of their SSAE18 audit.

VAZATA’s SVP of Facilities and Compliance, Jeff Luetzow, said “VAZATA has consistently put Security as a high priority, with SAS70 for 2009, 2010, and 2011.  Then that was replaced with SSAE-16 which we did for 2012 through 2016.”  VAZATA announces it has once again undergone the rigorous SSAE audit for SSAE-2018.  Luetzow said, “We understand the importance of delivering a highly secure data center environment for clients. Having SSAE-18 gives our clients the benefit of knowing they are well protected with custom-layered security features for their deployments.”

AICPA has certified VAZATA as maintaining the internal controls and security measure compliant with SSAE-18 protocol. VAZATA has met SSAE-18 assertions from management of the service organization that presents VAZATA’s system as designed and implemented throughout the specified period, and the controls related to the control objectives were suitably designed to achieve the control objectives.  “Compliance with SSAE-18 validates our processes and procedures.” said Luetzow.

When asked what benefits VAZATA clients get from the SSAE-18 designation, Luetzow said, “We are providing the most secure environment, with reassurance, and these internal control reports provide valuable information to our customers, so that users can assess and address the risks associated with an outsourced service. Meeting the industry’s stringent standards and best practices assures our customers that we have the infrastructure and controls in place at every level to protect their sensitive data.” Luetzow continued, “Here at VAZATA, we make a point to understand each customer’s core business needs, because for us, it isn’t about meeting a minimum standard for our core business of delivering IT or data center resources, it’s about our customers’ business needs.”
