VAZATA Attains FedRAMP JAB Security Authorization for Managed Cloud Services for U.S. Government Clients

PLANO, TEXAS – VAZATA, a managed hosting, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud managed service provider, announced today it has been granted a Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) from the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).

The FedRAMP P-ATO is a declaration that VAZATA has implemented the appropriate cloud infrastructure security posture to comply with the FedRAMP security requirements for providing cloud services to federal agencies. This new level of certification will enable VAZATA to provide the company’s Virtual Federal Image (VFI) Cloud Platform to government agencies working with sensitive data, delivering the highest levels of security and performance set by FedRAMP’s stringent compliance standards.

The certification is a significant representation of VAZATA’S commitment to deliver secure cloud and related services to both enterprise and federal customers. With FedRAMP authorization, VAZATA’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering (VFI) has achieved FedRamp Compliant rating, meaning U.S. Governmental agencies acquiring cloud based solutions can migrate and operate critical workloads to the VAZATA VFI cloud immediately.

VAZATA joins a small but distinguished list of cloud providers who can claim FedRAMP compliant cloud offerings with JAB Provisional Authorization. The JAB Provisional FedRAMP ATO is VAZATA’s latest achievement in a long-standing history of providing secure cloud environments to federal government agencies.

“With our reputation for consistently meeting stringent security and availability requirements, we made it our goal to architect a cloud that performs as a “building block” for agencies and companies that require FedRamp certified platforms. By meeting FedRAMP’s extensive security standards, we achieved our goal of providing an accredited, secure, cost-effective and agile cloud solution without sacrificing security,” said Stephen Kovac, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Head of Public Sector at VAZATA.

The VFI platform offers the benefits of cloud, including the common tools, processes, and ease of provisioning, all while affording agencies a level of security that is not normally available in existing public cloud environments. Government agencies can layer on agency-specific controls in addition to those certified by FedRAMP.
