U.S. Women’s National Team to Play at Toyota Stadium, 2016

August 13, 2015, Frisco, Texas — Fresh off the 2015 World Cup win, the U.S. Women’s national team and World Cup champions, will get home-country advantage in 2016 as they compete for a spot in the 2016 Olympics.

CONCACAF, the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football announced on Wednesday, August 13th the Texas games will ultimately be Olympic qualifiers for the contending eight teams; games will take place next year between February 10th thru February 21st in both Frisco, Texas and Houston, Texas.

The teams include the United States, Mexico and Canada, respectively, which will be divided into two groups that will then play at the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston and the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, as they vie for the final two spots to Rio.
