Global Tel*Link Expands Colocation Footprint with VAZATA

Plano, Texas, August 27, 2013 – VAZATA, a full service cloud infrastructure, managed services and colocation provider, today announced the company has been awarded an expanded colocation contract by Global Tel*Link (GTL) as part of an overall data center consolidation initiative. Through this contract, VAZATA’s infrastructure will also begin to support GTL’s Sip*Link subsidiary.

GTL has been making progress towards an important data center consolidation initiative in an effort to streamline IT operations and accommodate substantial growth in the business. VAZATA, an existing data center partner to GTL, understands their operations and offers highly scalable, enterprise-class infrastructure that meets their compliancy, security and stability requirements.

GTL is the largest provider of telecommunications and software services to the U.S. inmate telephone marketplace. Through the acquisition of network assets, customers, and employees of the former MCI Department of Corrections line of business and the former AT&T National Public Markets division, along with the acquisition of several small companies that focused on the correctional facilities sector, GTL has experienced substantial growth in recent years.

Lance Black, CEO of VAZATA, commented, “GTL will be the first customer to take advantage of our newest data center pod in the North Dallas region. We often scale our solutions to meet customer growth and evolving needs, but I think this is one of the most compelling examples where our dedication to customer service and the quality of our data center facilities have truly differentiated VAZATA from competitors. We’re truly honored to play a lead role in GTL’s consolidation strategy.”
